Strictly Come Dancing has now entered its third season; the success of the dancing show has taken the UK and World by storm, resulting in a massive win for the BBC and British Television persona throughout the world.
Once again, Strictly Come Dancing season three was hosted by Tess Daly and Bruce Forsyth, where celebrities from a variety of backgrounds team up with world renowned professional dancers, who are judged not only on the show, but also by the TV audience that phone in to cast their vote.
Season Three of Strictly Come Dancing also aired a Christmas Special, shown on the BBC on Christmas Eve 2005.
For Season three, the following contestants and positions are outlined below.
First to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing was Siobhan Hayes, an actress from the show My Family, who partnered with professional dancer Matthew Cutler. Their time on the show was over on the 15th October, 2005.
Second to be shown the door was Jaye Jacobs, another actress from the TV show Holby City, Jaye left the Strictly Come Dancing on the 22nd October with partner Andrew Cuerden.
On the 29th October, Gloria Hunniford, well known for presenting on TV and radio, was eliminated with professional dancer Darren Bennett.
Fourth to depart Strictly Come Dancing was GMTV presenter Fiona Phillips, partnered with Brendan Cole on the 5th November.
Next to leave the show as number five was professional snooker player Dennis Taylor, who danced with Izabela Hannah.
On the 19th November, Casualty actor Will Thorp departed Strictly Come Dancing with Hanna Haarala.
Number seven to be voted off the show was Bill Turnbull, another breakfast TV presenter who partnered with Karen Hardy.
Eighth to be eliminated from Strictly Come Dancing was TV actress Patsy Palmer, who was with Anton du Beke.
Just missing out on the top three position was celebrity chef James Martin, James left the show with dancing companion Camilla Dallerup back on the 10th December 2005.
In third place was another TV and radio presenter Zoe Ball, who danced with Ian Waite.
Runner up in the third season of Strictly Come Dancing was Colin Jackson, former Olympic hurdler and British athlete who partnered with Erin Boag.
Winner of Season three was English Cricketer, bowler and batsman Darren Gough who danced with Lilia Kopylova.
The highest score for Brendan Cole Strictly Come Dancing 2015 during season three was 39 points by Colin Jackson performing the Quickstep. Ironically, the lowest score was also by Colin for the Waltz, scoring just 11.
Once again, Strictly Come Dancing was a massive hit in 2005, paving the way for plenty of future shows and even more uptake throughout the world.
