MRHS Curriculum Night - Monday, October 4th at 6:30 PM
This is a great opportunity for you to meet each of your child’s teachers so you will better understand the practices and expectations related to student learning and specific academic content. We will be adhering to the district policy of masking indoors, as well as limiting attendees to one parent per student to reduce density in our classrooms.

WEEKLY SPORTS SUMMARIES
BOYS & GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY
At home on Wednesday, Cross Country took on Cape Tech, both the girls and boys teams came away with wins. Sophomore Gareth Vos finished the race first overall with a time of 16:12. Finishing third overall for the Sharks boys team was Junior James Machnik with a time of 16:35. Junior Jack Yuskaitis finished a close race in fourth overall, outrunning a Crusader by mere seconds. Yuskaitis finished with a time of 18:32. While Tech was short 3 runners to qualify in the girls' race, even with an inevitable win upon them there was no lack of effort during their race. Junior Rhiannon Vos finished first overall with a time of 18:31. Junior Courteney Dery finished in third place for the Sharks with a time of 21:42. To close out the top three Monomoy girls runners, Senior Brynn Dobbs finished fifth with a time of 23:55. A special shout out to eighth-grader Megan Gogol, for putting in the effort and determination to cut off nearly three minutes from her prior racing time! Great job to everyone. (Courteney Dery, junior captain)
CHEER
Last week cheer did an incredible job cheering at the football game. This week we are cheering for the home football game and performing our routine at halftime! The girls worked extremely hard putting this routine together at the last minute and are doing a great job with the new stunts we put in. The girls are doing an excellent job with the routine and are putting their best effort in! (Sabrina Morand, senior captain)
BOYS SOCCER
FIELD HOCKEY
Field hockey took a big win to end the week against Nauset. The score was 0-0 until the fourth quarter, Susannah Brown and Helen DiGiovanni scored the two goals that we needed to win. Key defensive plays made by Ella Reeves and Emily Layton also provided offensive scoring opportunities. We played DY away on Wednesday, coming home with the 3-2 win. 2 goals were scored by Caroline DiGiovanni and one from Emily Layton. We play Sandwich today at home at 4, hoping to keep up the undefeated season. (Caroline Digiovanni, senior captain)
GIRLS SOCCER
FOOTBALL
Last week's game was good vs Atlantis Charter winning 42-14. Quinn Conners had an impressive game offensively with two touchdowns and Jordan Charlot and Dillon Chapman with good defense overall everyone did very well. Harrison Shaw and Rocco also scored that game and the defense was incredible. We play SJP, a better team than the other teams we played so far, hopefully, we come out with a bang and get points on the board quickly. We're excited for the game vs SJP and we’re ready to get on the field and work as a unit ready to win the game. Coaches have been doing very well on the parts to keep us ready and conditioned for the games, but this week has been good for most of us. (Harrison Aristhomene, junior captain)
BOYS GOLF
The Boys Golf team had a great week starting with a solid victory against Nantucket at Eastward Ho! with a strong performance by the entire team. Unfortunately the match against Rising Tide was canceled due to the rough weather on Tuesday. The boys remained on top of the game through the rain and won against Sturgis West on our home turf of Cranberry Valley, crushing their so far undefeated season. We are looking forward to our next week filled with matches and a tournament. (Grady Howell, senior captain)
