FALL BREAK: October 8-12
Background Check Form due TODAY
This form needs to be completed each year if you intend to chaperone any field trips, come help out during school hours for any reason, or be in any kind of supervisory role of children. All background checks should be done in the fall, so please submit your information no later than Friday, October 5th. We treat the information provided with the utmost confidentiality. Once the check is completed, then you are free to serve in any capacity. Here is the link:
Team Connor Fundraising results
I am pleased to report that we raised $5297.00 for Team Connor to children with cancer. The winning class/grade is 7th grade with a total of $1810.00 of that thanks to their slime sales!!! Great job, 7th grade!

Order your LPS Yard Sign TODAY!
Show your support for LPS by putting a yard sign in your front yard.
We are offering personalized signs ($40) and non-personalized signs ($30) and personalized car decals ($10). You can also add sign toppers ($5) to your yard sign so be sure to check out those options - like sports, band, choir, graduating years, etc. The attached flyer shows photos and some options. Parent Seminar Information
The next parent seminar will be Monday, October 22. The topic will be "School Safety," and our special guests include LPS Board Member Scott Armendariz and a speaker from the Frisco Police Department. Childcare drop-off will be at 6 PM, and the seminar will begin at 6:15 PM.
Able to help at Carpool?
Wouldn't it be fun to start your day helping others and seeing those cute smiling faces? Or help safely send our little cherubs home in the afternoon? Yes?!!! Then join us as a Carpool Servant leader. Please consider joining in the fun and help keep our kids safe.
What are the times?
Drop-off: 7:25-8:55
Pick-up: 3:10-3:30ish (When the line is done.)
What do I do?
To join just click on the Sign-Up Genius link below and pick a day and time. The teachers will let you know where to go and what to do when you get there however you will be helping our Safety Patrol load or unload our students in or out of cars.
What about my own children?
During drop off you will send your student into the school where they will go to the Power Plant or Auditorium. If you are serving in the afternoon, please notify your student's teacher and they will send your student downstairs to meet you in the lobby area at 3:30.

Personalized Bricks
Additional personalized bricks will be added under the flagpole at the secondary campus soon! Bricks are $75 now through October 31 and include 16 characters/spaces per line with up to three lines of engraving. Gifted and Talented Referral forms
(Complete Form Here) are due on October 27th for 1st grade and up.
Students will be assessed during the fall and begin receiving services during the first semester. If a student was tested last year and did not qualify, they cannot be tested this year.
NuMinds Offering a *Free STEAM Explorers Enrichment Class* for Newcomers:
NuMinds is offering a free class for LPS students trying their on-campus STEAM EXPLORERS AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT CLASS for the first time. LPS is pleased to partner with NuMinds to offer our students this Science / Technology / Engineering / Arts and Technology (STEAM) after school program from 3:45 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. on Thursdays at our secondary campus. This class is designed for students in grades K – 4 and encourages divergent thinking and innovation.
