The core beliefs of Mulsims

THE FIRST PILLAR: SHAHADA

This pillar is the declaration all Muslims make everyday "There is only one God and Muhammad is his Prophet" it is important to Muslims because they encorauge them to say it through out the day, these are the last words one should hear before death, it is whispered to a new born baby, and it is taught to children.

THE SECOND PILLAR: SALAT

This pillar is the daily prayer because Muslims must face Mecca and pray 5 times a day. It is important to Muslims because they have to pray 5 times a day and set times, it reconfirms their faith, it makes them feel more closer to Allah.

THE THIRD PILLAR: ZAKAT

This pillar is a yearly donation Muslims make to charity. It is important because Zakat means giving parts of their wealth to help others in need like poor people.

THE FOURTH PILLAR: SAWN

This pillar is the tradition they have during the Ramadan month. It is important because when the month of Ramadan begins they have to go without food or drink during daylight hours.

TEH FIFTH PILLAR: HAJJ

This pillar is when Muslims must take a journey to Mecca once in their lives. It is important to Muslims because every Muslim must visit this holy place and offer prayers and ask for forgivness and live a better life ahead.
