LVJUSD Reopening Plan
Parents of students in grades TK-12 received communication about LVJUSD's intent to offer in-person learning at the start of Trimester 3 on March 10, 2021 for all grade levels. Parents also received a survey for each student asking for a commitment to transition to in-person learning or remain in distance learning for Trimester 3.
Elementary students were asked to commit to one of the following:
- In-person learning
- Distance learning
- Follow their teacher regardless of their teacher's assignment to in-person or distance learning
Please make sure you complete the survey for each of your children so that we can plan classes when we reopen.
To learn more about the district reopening plan please check the district website.

New Friday Announcements and Recognitions
The criteria for attendance during distance learning is:
1. Log into class meetings each day.
2. The camera is kept on during all instruction.
3. Students are engaged in lessons and responding to the teacher.
4. Assignments are submitted, either electronically or returned to school.
Students failing to meet these criteria may be marked absent.
Attendance greatly affects student learning. Students who have many absences suffer gaps in their learning and are not prepared for the next grade level. Excessive absences can result in retention. Please make sure that your student follows the distance learning criteria, so that they are prepared to move on to the next grade.
