A Message from Mrs. Fantaskey
As winter break approaches, we have finished our 1st trimester conferences, and are getting ready to close out 2021. I had the pleasure of attending some conferences over the past few weeks and continue to be impressed with our students, teachers, and parents' commitment and support. Our teachers shared their knowledge of each student, focusing on the positive relationships they have established, and their enthusiasm for teaching and learning. Parents - your support, clarifying questions, open communication, and active engagement in your child's learning have been greatly appreciated. It truly takes a team effort to help our students grow and develop, academically and socially, and our conferences allow us the time to share and celebrate as a team. I am reminded each day of the wonderful students, dedicated and enthusiastic staff, and committed families in our Doyle community. What a blessing it is to be part of such a wonderful community.
As the of the holidays and the long awaited break are upon us, we have planned some festive and fun activities for the students and staff this week including spirit week, holiday sing a longs, caroling from the Lenape choir, holiday parties, and of course, we are especially looking forward to our annual Soaring Eagle Schoolwide BINGO celebration on Thursday morning!
I wish all families who are celebrating, a very Merry Christmas, a Happy Kwanzaa, and Happy New Year. May this holiday season bring you joy, fond memories, and special time with family and friends.

“Find a job you enjoy doing, and you will never have to work a day in your life.”
― Mark Twain
This quote may optimize the wish that many parents have for their children’s future. Some of you may be fortunate enough to feel that way about your own career. Finding that ideal job is the challenge and for our children it is often a matter of “trying things on” to see what fits. The link below shares interesting looks at how people feel about the work they do. Although many of the videos may be more appropriate for older students, some could be fun for the younger ones such as Kite Designer or Experimental Film and Stop Motion Animator.
Perhaps take a few minutes over the upcoming school break and watch some of these with your sons and daughters. Ask them what they think, and listen. You both may learn something about “a job you enjoy doing.”
