Rotel Reminder of the Week

Public School: a place where extraordinary people do remarkable things, with minimal resources, and solely for their love of children.

The Rotel Reminder of the Week was taken from a Twitter post I recently favorited. The post itself isn't earth shattering or even new to our ears but it is a reminder to all why you all do what you do. You really are EXTRAORDINARY and it is evident to all of us how much you love your students. Our students have been given a gift and that gift is YOU.

We are in the home stretch. We only have 6 more weeks until a much needed Summer break. That's just 42 days including weekends & holidays, 29 instructional days, 5 Mondays and 6 Fridays. Our students are feeling it too. They are just as excited and ready for the break.

Great days are ahead of you this six weeks. Remember that you have that "CAN-DO" attitude to make the most challenging of days the best of days.

  • I encourage you to review our Cowboy Code with your students daily or even hourly when needed and continue to be the positive role model that you are.
  • Spread out during recess and keep a close eye on your students.

Jane, Stephen and I understand that there will be some days that you need additional supports, encouraging words, a hug, or just a smile. The encouraging words, hugs & smiles will come all the time! However if you need one or all of us to come to your classroom for a class meeting, visit with individuals or groups, or just sit and observe, just call on us when you need us! We are here to support you and will do our best to make the next 42 days, 29 instructional days, 5 Mondays and 6 Fridays the best that they can be.
