Hello, I'm Lynnette Wolff. I live just south of Ekalaka, Montana in Carter County. I am currently the fifth grade teacher at Ekalaka Public Schools. My husband and I just had our first child, Taten, in May. He is the light of our life! I am originally from Southeast Nebraska, but attended college at Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa, before moving to Montana.
I have very little experience with an iPad. In fact, I just bought mine to take this class. I do not have any iPads in my classroom yet, but hope with a little more knowledge it may be a possibility in the future.
In my classroom I use a few types of technology. Mostly I use a Promethean board. This is used for class instruction and video clips I show to the students. I also use desktop computers and a laptop computer. One of my big goals this year is to get the students comfortable with typing and getting their ideas onto a computer. Hopefully, this will help when it comes time to take our Smarter Balance tests.
Hopes For This Course
I am taking this course to learn how to successfully use an iPad in my classroom. I know that in the near future a lot more use of technology will be expected of teachers and students. I hope to be prepared when it comes to that point. I am looking forward to finding ways to help my students and myself with using iPads. I hope to find a great list of apps that will be beneficial to my students and myself.
