#HERRICKSSTRONG
A MESSAGE FROM JOAN KEEGAN, PRINCIPAL
Although the school building is closed, the action never stops! With the combined efforts, diligence and resilience of our students, parents, and staff, remote learning continues to move forward in addressing content standards. Currently, 794 students are in the middle of completing Advanced Placement exams. Student clubs are busy reaching out to those in need, and we are finalizing year-end plans and working on the 2020-2021 schedule and return to school. Next week, letters will be sent out detailing our year-end events and defining the structures for both staff and students to return materials and clean out their offices, classrooms, and lockers.
Until then we hope you enjoy our latest 'This is Us' edition which highlights some of the awesome and positive work taking place in and around the district. We miss you!!!!!

- Maintain a daily routine with consistent sleep, activity and study patterns.
- Stay connected with others, and try to find moments of humor.
- Talk to people you feel comfortable with about your feelings or worries, then give yourself permission to stop worrying.
- Eat breakfast every morning, plus snacks and meals at regular times throughout the day.
- Limit coffee or energy drinks, as these will increase feelings of anxiety and make it difficult to relax.
- Relieve times of high anxiety with physical activity; engage in regular aerobic exercise (e.g., walk, jog, yoga, dance)
- Be kind to yourself and each other. We’ll work through this together.
