Halo Highlight: Campus Security & Safe Environment
Dear Saints Parents,
It is a proven fact that one of the main reasons families choose to send their children to Catholic schools is the safety and security of the school environment. As a parent and educator, I agree with that. Teens in today’s world are faced with challenges and issues unlike any other generation. While our students and campus are not immune to these issues, we have the ability to support and minister to students and families in a unique way that sets us apart. Besides working closely with area law enforcement and the services of the K9 unit, we routinely administer drug screenings to students. We believe that these efforts can support families in assuring our students stay on the correct and safe path.
We follow our school and Diocesan policy when performing these services (See Section XI of our Student Handbook on page 41) and ask that you use this reminder to have open, honest conversations with your teen. We are here to support you! Safety is our #1 goal, and we will continue to make St. Louis Catholic High School an educational institution that cares and develops the whole student!
Blessings,
Mia Orgeron

Academics & Counseling
Q2 Winding Down; Extra Help Available at Academic Study Hall
The second half of Q2 goes very quickly, and the end of the quarter coupled with midterm exams can be taxing to students. Students should be diligent in their studies, paying attention to due dates and utilize Academic Study Hall Wednesday evenings or contact an NHS student for help.
Academic Study Hall is held every Wednesday from 5-6:30 p.m. in the Cafeteria for any Saints seeking subject-specific or one-on-one tutoring, homework help, or even a place to do a group project. Study Hall is staffed by two teachers and NHS peer tutors, so please join us - no reservations required!
*Open House is this Wednesday, so stay tuned to social media and daily announcements for updates on this week's Study Hall session.*
