Benchmark Due Date this Friday the 28th
All work on your schedule from March 17 thru March 28 is due before midnight on March 28. Work turned in after this time is subject to late penalties in accordance with standard GaVS late policy.
To see what's due, look at your schedule, or login and look at the news announcements from this Monday morning - there is a schedule screenshot tailored to you! (Unless you haven't picked a group yet, of course.) The screenshots look like this one (this is just an example - it may not be for your class.)
Work can be early but it cannot be late (without penalty). Don't give away points - they aren't that easy to get!

News and Notes
This is one of only three remaining due date benchmarks! Hang in there.
- All students are expected to check school mail and read course news announcements every school day. While I do not personally care how you break up your work as long as it gets done on time, sometimes announcements are made that change what is due or clarify what is wanted or how to find it. If you aren't reading school email and aren't reading the news feed, how can I reach you?
- Due to requests, I will run an extra help session on Wednesday this week at 11am. This will be in addition to my normal one at 7pm. If anyone wants anything in particular covered, let me know ahead of time. Otherwise I'm assuming it's just question-and-answer.
- I've uploaded some helpful videos in the physical science class, and I hope to be able to do that for the other courses this week.
Event Information
GaVS Spring Break is in two weeks!
GaVS Spring Break is in two weeks! From April 7-11, there will be no GaVS classes. What does this mean for you?
- You are not expected to read school email or check the news feed.
- You are not expected to login to the school or progress through content.
- If you want to do so, the school should be online, but that's only by choice.
- Spring Break this year falls in the middle of the April 18 benchmark, meaning the first and third weeks of April make up the work. Late work from the 3-28 benchmark must be turned in before midnight on April 4. The only benchmark you may turn in work for during break is April 18.
- I am also on break! Do not call me (please). I will check my email, and within reason will try to get back to you in a timely fashion. I may or may not grade work during spring break.
- This has nothing to do with any other school(s) you attend. Our spring break doesn't excuse you from going to your other school, if you have one. In the same way, if they have a spring break at a different time, it's on YOU to figure out how to either work at home or work ahead enough that you don't miss due dates. Different dates of spring breaks between schools is NOT considered a valid reason for being late!
- You are hereby ordered to have a fun (but safe) break!
