Chicken is a good source of protein, providing 67.6% of the daily value for protein in 4 ounces. It is also lower in fat content than darker meats such as beef. Chicken is an excellent source of niacin and very good source of protein and selenium. It is also a good source of vitamin B6 and phosphorus.
