Volunteers needed!
We need volunteers from each troop for the Sweetheart Dance. To make it easier to coordinate, we're using VolunteerSpot and you can access by clicking on this link. http://vols.pt/um399Z
If your troop has less than 10 girls, we need 1 adult volunteer from your troop. If you have 10 or more girls, we need 2 adult volunteers. If your daughter is in a troop in high school, the girls can volunteer if they'd like. If someone from your troop is Chairing a Committee for the Dance, you don't need an additional volunteer.

5 For 5 program now has two drawings! Each girl will get 10 tickets to be used in the pre-sale period for those customers that purchase 5 or more boxes of cookies - 1 entry ticket for each 5 boxes, i.e. 2 tickets for 10, etc.). There will be a drawing at the end of the pre-sale season. A second drawing will be for orders/purchases made during February and March.
Digital Cookie replaces Cookie Club. Each parent will receive an email from council with instructions on how to set up their daughter's DC account. Emails from Cookie Club can be rolled over into DC through January 9th. DC will start February 1st and it is intended for friends and family that do not live in the area as the purchaser will pay shipping and handling charges. They can also order cookies for the military and pay a much smaller fee.
Samoa's turn 40!! Join the Little Brownie Bakers Samoa Bash on January 10th.
Gift of Caring boxes are now distributed to active duty military and veteran's agencies.
Bling Your Booth has a $500 prize for the winning booth!

Adult Registration
A quick reminder to encourage you to get the adults in your troop registered in preparation for cookie booth sales. Here is a paper form for you to download and share with adults who will be working at cookie booths to ensure they are registered and background screened! The GSWCF team will be ready to process these forms as they are submitted.
The form is here.

Adult Awards Recognizing Outstanding Volunteer Leadership in Girl Scouting
Giving and receiving recognition is an important component of the Volunteer Development System in Girl Scouting. This is an ongoing, everyday process for any of us to take part in at any time. Showing appreciation for one another is a good way to show respect, to relate to each others strengths, and to develop mutual commitment.
While we encourage on-going, year-round volunteer recognition, now is the time to prepare submissions for adult awards to be given at the Annual meeting in the spring. Nomination forms and criteria are included on the GSWCF web site, click here.
The deadline to submit nominations is Jan. 31. Take the time to honor the efforts of outstanding volunteers who work tirelessly to advance the Girl Scout movement. We need your involvement to sing their praise.
