How to use NORFOLK the paperless marking tool!
1 May 2019, Advanced NORFOLK (for existing NORFOLK Users). 2pm, Everyone Welcome.
This session will serve to show all the new features of NORFOLK 4 with some exciting advancements including the ability to use NORFOLK for marking practical (non-written) assessments, moderation of assignments in NORFOLK and new batch processes to speed up marking overall (particularly for multiple marker subjects).
It is intended that attendees will be at minimum familiar with the various features of NORFOLK to gain the most out of discussing some of the more advanced concepts available with this version.

We have workshops that can assist you with writing assessment tasks that align with learning outcomes, as well as, how to provide effective feedback for assessments.
2 May 2019, Assessment Feedback, How, Why and Where. 1pm, Faculty of Business, Justice and Behavioural Sciences.
This workshop will look at effective and efficient ways to provide assessment feedback to students. Topics will include; how to structure feedback to guide students, using digital platforms to deliver feedback, and how to get students to engage with assessment feedback to improve their work.
29 May 2019, Writing Assessment Tasks in alignment with Learning Outcomes and Marking Criteria. 1pm, Faculty of Arts and Education and Faculty of Science.
What is a good learning outcome? Why would we rewrite the ones we have already? Writing assessment tasks to align with learning outcomes can identify that the learning outcomes need to be rewritten. Are they too vague, or too prescriptive? How many is too many? How do you get them changed anyway? Explore the answers to these questions, or bring your own. This workshop is an opportunity to work through what needs to be in a good learning outcome.

Smartboard Interactive session with learning spaces to assist in student engagement!
The aim of this session is to help you actively engage students in the content of your teaching. DLT, Learning Technologies Unit (LTU) and DIT has collaborated to provide a face to face session to show you various features of the Smartboard Display.

Interaction and engagement with students made easy with H5P!
This session will show you how H5P can be used to engage students easily, by creating interactive resources, to use in learning spaces on campus or online. H5P is an interactive tool that can be used to help make teaching more engaging improving students learning outcomes. Interactive videos, quizzes and presentations are just some of the options within H5P.
