Scholastic Book Fair
Dear Parents and Families,
We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Scholastic Book Fair! This event is an opportunity for students of all ages to build their home libraries and further their love of reading. As always, all purchases benefit our school.
After missing out on many beloved traditions, our spring Book Fair will be a familiar, welcome, and safe event for our students. Here’s what you need to know about the Fair, which will take place from Monday, May 16th- Thursday, May 19th in the LIBRARY.
Our Book Fair offers eWallet, a safe and secure alternative to cash. Simply create a free account to add funds and/or invite family and friends to contribute so your child can select their own books.
An exciting opportunity we are offering is that parents who eat lunch with their children during book fair dates are allowed to bring and shop with their children at book fair :)
Parents must be signed up for lunch on the signup genius through the CUB HUB. https://www.signupgenius.com/go/60B0A4FAEA92FA0FF2-bear5
In addition, there will be a parent/family shopping night:
Tuesday, May 17th from 4-6 p.m.!

Field Day 2022 is THREE Weeks Away!
We continue to share more about Field Day each PE class. Because of the rain last week, we actually had some time to run through some of the competitive stations that the students will be participating in. All classes will be divided into six different teams (R-O-Y-G-B-P) and will be earning points for their schoolwide color team at certain stations. We'll be using an app called "Team Shake" to make these color teams, and we've started using that in PE as well, so that the students can see how the teams will be randomly made.
Thank you to families that have alreay been donating to our trinket collection using the Amazon wish list. We've been showing the students what kind of things will be available for them to choose from, it's fun seeing and hearing their excitement!
Last week, teachers signed up AM/PM Field Day station times. We are working with the PTA on using the opposite half of the day to provide some of the Boosterthon rewards that the classes earned, and giving the classroom teachers some time back. This collaboration will be possible with the help of adult volunteers, please take a look at your calendar and see if you're able to give some time :)

A Message from BCE PE:
Hello Bear Creek Families!
This week we anticipate wrapping up our FitnessGram assessments with our 3rd-5th Grade students and will be hitting some soccer and striking lessons, focusing on the grade level goals that you can see below.
REMINDER: FitnessGram is NEVER a part of PE grades, just a fitness measurement. Click on the BCE FitnessGram Website button below for more information on FitnessGram.
Thank you for your continued support!
