Words of Inspiration

"Treat people as if they were what they ought to be, and you help them become what they are capable of becoming."

-Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

A Special Applause to...

WOW! What an Earth Day celebration. I know there was concern about how this would go off, but our walk/bike to school was amazing. It was clear you have worked tirelessly with students to set expectations for how we should act. Our students met your expectations! Thank you for your willingness to go off campus to make this happen.

I also got a couple of messages about student's behavior during the school day. Staff shared that students seemed to be more focused and better behaved. I want you to consider how you use your instructional time. I know there is never enough of it to go around. Sometimes students will be more productive when they exercise and get fresh air. Several teams have been doing this after testing. Is it worth doing throughout the school year?

It's time to say good bye to another staff member, but not forever. Gayle Castle has been accepted into the College Conservatory of Music. She will take a leave of absence next year to work on her graduate studies.

April PD Day

We have been working hard to plan a worthwhile professional development day. HERE is the agenda. The work on this day will center around the culturally responsive practices goals for this year.

Walking track requests

Now that the weather is nice, many of you want to be outside with your team. Please let the office know your plans either by email, calling, or writing on the whiteboard in the office. We need to know when you will be going out and then we will let you know if there is any overlap with other teams. Thank you!

It's that time again! Please take a second to complete the School Climate Survey.
