Field Trips
We will be taking a field trip to the North Lakeland Discovery Center on Friday, May 31st. We will leave school at 8:25 am and return approximately at 3:25 pm. Permission slips were sent home last week. Please return them to school no later than Tuesday, May 21st.
Parents are welcome to join us as chaperones! However, you will need to transport yourself as we have limited bus space. Please contact your child’s teacher if you will be joining us.
We will be eating lunch at the North Lakeland Discovery Center. Students have the option of bringing their own lunch from home or purchasing a sack lunch from food service. If you are bringing a lunch from home, please make sure that it is in a disposable bag with your child’s name on it.
If you would like your child to have sunscreen and bug spray, please send it with their names on it.
On Monday, June 3rd we will be visiting the NPSD School Forest from 1:00 - 3:00 pm. Please make sure that your child is dressed appropriately for the weather. Also, please send sunscreen and bug spray this day as well. Thanks!
Please contact your child’s teacher at any time with questions. Thanks!
Our current Virtue is SERVICE
Service is giving to others and wanting to make a difference in their lives. It is looking for ways to be helpful instead of waiting to be asked. The needs of others are as important to you as your own. When you work with a spirit of service, you give any job your best effort. You make a real contribution. People who want to be of service can change the world.
Here are some questions to discuss with your child regarding service:
- How do you feel when you do something of service for someone else?
- Name three ways your parents are of service to you.
- Name three ways you are of service to your family.
- What difference does it make to do your work with a spirit of service?
- How do you show you care about others?
Science, Social Studies, & ELA - Oh My!
In ELA, students worked on Lego Story Starters with Ms. Davis in the library. They did an awesome job. Ask your child about their story!
We are continuing our Wonders work as we wrap up the school year!
