October Newsletter 2021
October 6th/EARLY OUT/Dismissal at 12:45 pm
Calendar Correction: PTO will meet on October 11th at 7:00 pm.
Parent/Teacher Conferences
Report cards will be handed out at Parent/Teacher Conferences. MAP results will also be shared at conference time for 4-8 graders.
As a reminder, we will not be in session on Monday, November 1st. The District will be closed for fall break.
We will be releasing the October menu a week at a time. Our food deliveries have been delayed due to work force shortages. We simply won't know exactly what we will get.
NO SCHOOL on MONDAY, NOVEMBER 1st!
MENUS are subject to change based on availability.
Bus Changes
If you need to change your child’s bus procedure for the day, please call the office no later than 2:00 p.m. You are also encouraged to send a note to your child’s teacher. Please do not send a message or email to your child's teacher during the school day for a bus change. (Facebook, Remind, etc.) Our school day can get very hectic and teachers often do not have time to check messages before the end of the day. We want to make sure all of our students get to the proper place after school so notes from home or phone calls are the most reliable.

Sports
Girls in grades 6 and 7 may try out for cheer. Mrs. Colter is our cheer sponsor. She will be sending home information regarding cheerleading.
We are also looking for people willing to referee basketball games. Refs do not need to be licensed but need to have a good understanding of the game. Experience is preferred but not necessary. Basketball refs earn $40 per game. Please contact Nathan Franks at nathanfranks22@gmail.com if you are interested.
October is Fire Prevention Month
Be sure to practice fire drills at home and have a meeting place outside.
