First Grade
First grade wants to thank its amazing families for the generous apple donations for “Apple Week”. You made learning science fun and delicious!
Now in science we will move on to learning about the Earth’s surface.
In math, we are learning about addition and subtraction facts to 20. Students have been using related facts, number lines, doubles, near doubles, and making ten strategies to solve problems. Continue to practice at home!
Students have started the second reader for this year! Continue to practice sight words at home, adding new words from the homework sheet to words already known to build fluency and confidence. Students need to read EVERY night and record the pages or books on the homework sheet.
