Livestock PDC Update
Recap from the September Meeting
The new Fair Schedule was discussed the plan is to change Friday times for the Dairy Show will start a little later to give youth more time to get ready in the morning. We will move the meat goat show to 10:00 a.m. and the sheep show will stay at 12:30 p.m., and the poultry show will move to 3:00p.m. to accommodate the length of the show. Awards from this year were discussed we will continue to have chairs and banners but will be looking for a company to create the showmanship chairs. The possibility of having 4-H superintendents was brought up for each species to help organize and plan the show and volunteers needed to have a successful 4-H show. The portion of the Blue Ribbon Auction Funds was discussed for what to do with the extra money from the community fund . Two options were given including having a minimum bid for species and having a premium which is added to the youths checks for the Blue Ribbon Auction.
