Upcoming Library Programs 2018
The AnHS LIbrary will be implementing a Teen Advisory Board for the 2018-2019 school year. Titan students will be in charge of designing, planning, and advertising events and programs of their choice to their fellow Titans. We are excited to ramp up our makerspace activities through this student group and bring a variety of new ideas such as compassionate making, a film/book club, and global citizenship to our Library. Students can join during Club Rush Week September 4-7th.

Digital Citizenship Education
Technology integration in a safe and positive way is a main priority this school year. Students were already introduced to Digital Literacy skills and practices on August 15th and 16th during Titan 28. They discussed the following Digital Literacy Skills and Ethical Obligations plus the pitfalls of oversharing online:
Search effectively.
Protect your and others' private information online.
Give proper credit when using other people's work.
Understand digital footprints.
Respect each other's ideas and opinions.
Social Studies, English, and Health classes will also be incorporating Digital Literacy lessons throughout the year, and all classrooms have common Chromebook Expectations.
We are excited to take our students to the next level with technology while guiding them in the proper and safe use of their devices.
You can find additional digital citizenship information on the District Website.
Database Upgrades 2018
The State of California is offering California Public Schools a database bundle free of charge. Students now have access to a greater number of databases and will be exposed to a wider variety of database interfaces to better prepare them for their future college and career pursuits and help them become more information literate. Titans can log in to these new databases from the AnHS Library website by scrolling past the database videos and tutorials. Remote access usernames and passwords can be found there as well.
