Celebrating Teachers!

Teacher Appreciation Week 2021

Big picture

Dear Teachers,

This year you've taught virtually, you've taught in person. You've greeted kids in pajamas, in masks, or behind plexiglass. You've educated and nurtured children through zoom meetings, small groups, or face to face. This year you've done it all and amidst an ever-changing environment with new challenges every step of the way. Through the last two years, we have all learned what every educator has always known, just how vital the school system is to not only education but to both social, and emotional learning and how vital the school system is in our community. We at Region 18 ESC just want to thank you for the hours of work, teaching multiple classes in person and virtually. Taking on extra workloads, being substitutes, counselors, mentors, and most of all teachers.

We see you, and we thank you. You are truly appreciated!

Google Doodle Kicks Off Teacher Appreciation Week 2021

Make sure you take the time to visit Google's homepage and click on the video banner above the search bar. To celebrate the beginning of Teacher Appreciation Week 2021, Google has partnered with StoryCorps to highlight five unique and beautiful tales from across the US that highlight some of the roles that an educator has in a child’s life. These stories date from the desegregation era all the way to online learning during the ongoing pandemic.
