History
Zinc dates far back into ancient history. In ancient Palestine, they used it in their brass. It was also found in an alloy in anicent Transylvania. Melting zinc with copper was disovered by Cyprus and it was later used by the Romans. Zinc was not used in the world for a while, but it was later rediscovered in Europe.
Uses of Zinc
The alloy brass contains 20%-45% depending on the mixture. Zinc is also used in many other alloys including Nickel Silver, typewriter metal, commercial bronze, spring brass, soft solder, and aluminum solder. Zinc is used in some metals to stop that metal from corroding.
