Specific time and locations for these events can be found at the end of my newsletter.
Please plan ahead for parking when attending some of these events as parking at Hope will be unavailable

Campus Announcements
I would like to give a friendly reminder for morning drop off. Please remember according to Texas law, drivers have to stop when a school bus extends its stop sign or when it turns on its flashing red lights. Also, the queue in the morning is not for parking. Please help us expedite drop off by making sure students are ready to go before pulling into the queue.
Lost and Found
The Lost and Found is still overflowing with lost or forgotten items. Please remind your students to look through it. Parents are welcome to come up and search through items as well. After Thursday, all items will be donated.
Notes From Mrs. Oates, Spicewood Elementary IB Coordinator
The aim of all IB programmes is to develop internationally minded people who, recognizing their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet, help to create a better and more peaceful world. At Spicewood we support this through the development of the 10 learner profile attributes seen in the graphic below. Students show these attributes both inside and outside of the school. Here are some examples from students of how they show these attributes every day:
Avery from Mrs. Lough's First Grade Class
"I was principled at home when I did what my mom asked me to do."
Alex from Mrs. Klovert's 5th Grade Class

STEAM Day Volunteers Needed
We will be hosting our PTA sponsored event, STEAM Day, on Friday, March 6th. This unique day gives our students opportunity to explore the areas of STEAM- Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math with hands on activities, career exploration and outside vendor presentations. Our students will be thinkers, risk takers and open-minded as they solve engineering design challenges, code drones to fly, and take a trip to the stars with our pop up planetarium, BUT we need your help to make this day a success!!
If you work or have experience in any of those fields - please sign up to share some of your expertise with our students! https://forms.gle/PUKLhcnV6XhfBVst7
We thank you in advance for your time and support for this great program.
Celebrations!
