Have you completed your student's Back to School Forms?
All new and returning students will register online at www.rcisd.org by clicking on the Family Access tab.
Online Required Schools Forms for all RCISD students will open on July 13 in Family Access. If you do not know your Family Access login credentials, please email FamilyAccessSupport@rcisd.org and include your child’s name and campus. Using Family Access, parents will have real time data about their child’s grades, attendance, assignments and more. Alerts can be set to your individual preferences and the information is easily accessed using the Family Access.
If you have a new child entering school this year, you can add them in your already existing Family Access account. For Family Access help or login credentials, please email FamilyAccessSupport@rcisd.org. Be sure to include your name, your child’s name and the campus of attendance.
FAMILY ACCESS SUPPORT NIGHTS
Offered for families who need in-person support for Required School Forms. Held each Wednesday night from July 13 until August 17. Come and go event to allow parents to provide enrollment documents or recieve assistance with online forms. A notary will be available if needed.

Pup Camp-Freshman Orientation
We want ALL freshmen to join us for Pup Camp on Friday, August 12th at 4:30 starting in the Cafeteria at RCHS!
This experience is designed and led by our RCHS student leaders. It is a chance for students to come and take a tour of the campus, meet their counselors, meet administrators, hear from current RCHS students and gain a level of comfort with the campus before the first day of school. Freshmen will have the chance to view their schedule through family access and tour the campus.
***All Back to School forms must be completed to view schedule through Qmaltive Family Access. This event is for RCHS students only.

Student Chromebooks
We are pleased to continue our C4L (Connected For Learning) Project that we started at Royse City High School six years ago. C4L provides each of our students the opportunity to receive a Chromebook after paying a user fee of $30.00 by going to www.schoolpay.com or by card at time of Chromebook pickup. The C4L paperwork within Qmlativ Family Access must be completed as part of the online registration process. Without the online forms
being completed, Chromebooks will not be issued.
All 9th-12th grade students can pick up their Chromebooks in the RCHS Library on the following dates and times:
● Tuesday, August 9th- 9th Grade Students 1:00pm-6:00pm
● Wednesday, August 10th- 10th Grade Students 1:00pm-6:00pm
● Thursday, August 11th- 11th & 12th Grade Students 1:00pm-6:00pm
If you are not able to make these dates/times, another Chromebook roll out will be held the first week of school.
Student ID required for all students.
Students will be required to wear their ID badge at all times. Students will not be able to purchase lunch in the cafeteria or check out library/textbooks without a school issued ID. Everyone will be issued the first ID free of charge. Replacement badges will cost $5. ID badges will be issued the first day of school.
According to the RCISD Secondary Dress Code Policy: School Issued ID card is required to be worn around student's neck on a lanyard or left chest with ID clip at all times.

STUDENT SCHEDULES
Student schedules will be released electronically through Qmaltive Family Access, August 15th at 12pm. Students may view their schedule at this time. Students will be required to view new schedule on the first day of school through family access. The reason for the new schedule is due to possible changes from the balancing of classes.

PARKING PERMIT FEE IS $50:
In order to purchase a permit, you will need to show proof of insurance, a drivers’ license, and have a completed Royse City ISD Student Random Drug Testing Consent Form (these forms will be available to pick up on August (3-5) or you may print them out. If a student intends to park on school property, then the student must have a visible parking permit.
Seniors only can purchase their parking permit on Wednesday, August 3rd from 9:00 am-11:30 am and 1:00 pm-3:30 pm in the front main hallway of the campus. Students wanting to reserve a space or have a painted spot can do so for an additional cost of $100.
All other students (10th and 11th graders) who need parking permits can purchase their parking permit August 4th-5th from 9:00 am-11:30 am and 1:00 pm -3:30 pm in the front main hallway of the campus. Students who are not able to purchase a parking permit on August 3rd or 4th will have an opportunity after school starts to purchase them in Gamma House.
Parking Permits and Painted Parking Spots may be purchased online on the designated days.

Pick up and drop off for RCHS students takes place only on RCHS property. Please click on link to view current parent pick up and drop off route.
Union Square Neighborhood across from campus is not an approved parent pick up or drop off location or place to park for RCHS students.

FIRST DAY PROCEDURES
On the first day of school, students will be required to view their new schedule electronically through family access, their student ID will be issued in first period class and to be worn at all times. Students who have first period dismissal will pick up ID 9:00-9:20am in cafeteria, students will be required to have ID on to enter 2nd period class.

Bell Schedule
Our first class starts at 8:25am and our last class ends at 3:50pm. The building will open at 8:00am and students will be released to head towards their classes at 8:15am. The release bell to head to classes will ring at 8:15am and 1st period will begin at 8:25am. The school day will end at 3:50pm and tutorials will be each afternoon from 3:50pm-4:15pm by appointment only. We want students to take full advantage of the tutorial times that are offered through Power Hour (11th & 12th grade)/Bulldog Block (9th & 10th grade) during the middle of the school day.

Instructional Use of Personal Telecommunications and Other Electronic Devices
Students must obtain prior approval to use personal telecommunications or other personal
electronic devices for instructional purposes while on campus.
Students must also sign a user agreement that contains applicable rules for use (separate from this handbook).All personal devices must be turned off during the instructional day when not in use for approved instructional purposes. Violations of the user agreement may result in withdrawal of privileges and other disciplinary action.
This is how RCHS will allow personal device usage during the instructional day at RCHS:
Cell phones may be used in hallway during passing periods and scheduled lunch time..
Upon entering the classroom, all cell phones and listening devices must be turned off and placed inside backpacks or designated area..
During scheduled class period, all cell phones and listening devices must be turned off and placed inside backpacks.
If out, cell phones and electronic listening devices will be picked up and turned into the office.
Parents must pick up the electronics.
