Hello Santiago Families:
We want to wish our school family a happy Thanksgiving filled with warmth, gratitude and cherished moments with loved ones. 🦃
Thanksgiving Break: Thanksgiving break is next week. There is no school next week (11/20-11/24). We will see students back on campus on Monday, November 27th.
Reading Raffle: If your child is interested in participating in our Reading Raffle hosted by Mrs. Maude, please scroll below for more information. This is an excellent time for them to read for fun and earn prizes in the process.
Holiday Gift Card Drive: Our holiday gift card drive will run from 11/27-12/8. This is one of our favorite traditions at Santiago, where we collect donated gift cards ($10 or more) to distribute to our Santana families that can benefit from a little extra help during the holiday season. Donations can be dropped off in the office.
Santana Santa Social: We are hosting our Santa Social on Saturday, December 9th, from 10a-2p. This event is free. For more information, scroll below for our flier.

Santana of the Month
Our Staff of the Month Program is designed to recognize outstanding staff members for their contributions to Santiago Charter Middle School. Each month, a different staff member will be recognized. Nominations may be submitted by parents. The nomination symbolizes the esteem and appreciation that everyone has for our staff members. Click on the link above if you have a staff member you would like to nominate.
Nominations are due by the 15th of each month.

Santa Social: Christmas Tree Showcase
Villa Park HS Dance Team: Dance Clinic for students TK-8th grade (1/14/24)
The Villa Park HS Dance team is hosting a Dance Clinic for students TK-8th in January. The cost is $50, and students get the opportunity to perform at a VP Varsity basketball game. Attached is a form with all the information.

Santana Expectations
Everyday, Santanas are expected to follow the guidelines for our campus. For clarification of these expectations, please click here.
Expanded Learning Program
Our Expanded Learning Program (ELP) runs Monday-Thursday, starting right after school and goes until 6pm. At this time, we have started a waitlist for enrollment. If you would like to add your student's name to our waitlist, please stop by the Santiago office and talk with Mrs. Ontiveros, our ELP coordinator.
Santiago Helping Hands
Looking for ways to help out at Santiago? There are many opportunities to help with your time, talents or gifts. This is going to be the place we share all the wish lists from the different groups on campus. We appreciate every family's help in supporting the Santiago Community.
- 👩🏫 Teacher Wish Lists - Some of our teachers have created wish lists for specific student classroom needs. Check it out!
- ⚽ 🏐 🏈 Used Sports Equipment: Any type of equipment you don't need anymore! We have a large athletic group, we can use whatever you can spare.
- 👕 PE Loaner Laundry - The PE teachers need help laundering the loaner uniforms that are used each week. Sign up HERE to choose a Friday to pick up a load of PE clothes, wash them over the weekend, and then return them Monday morning. We appreciate you adding a load to your wash day!
PTSA Corner
Our next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 13th at 7pm in the library. We will have Spanish translation available. Please join us if you can.
We have many opportunities for parents to volunteer through PTSA sponsored events. Please consider helping wherever you can! We appreciate everyone that has signed up!
