Valentine's Day Exchange
If your student would like to exchange valentines, s/he may bring enough for EVERY child in the class on Thursday, February 14. Each 5th grade class has about 28 students. Bringing valentines to share is optional.
All students should bring a bag or box to receive valentines by Thursday :)
I love that Valentine's Day falls on the heels of our Kindness Challenge! What a nice way to show kindness to our classmates - by giving and receiving graciously!

18th Annual Pop Tab Contest!
The Key Clubs from North and East High Schools hereby invite you to participate in our 18th ANNUAL Aluminum Tab Collection Contest.
Last year, our schools collected 1,814,866 pop tabs which raised $826.20 for the Ronald McDonald House. Through the first 17 years of collecting, we have recycled OVER 13 tons of aluminum tabs!!! And…more importantly, this has enabled us to donate $16,034 to the Indianapolis Ronald McDonald House.
Thanks to all of you who have participated!
Once again this year, Andy Ball, the franchise owner for the McDonalds on 3rd St. in Columbus as well as the McDonald’s locations in Franklin, Trafalgar, and Brownstown, has offered to donate free meals for one classroom at each of the winning schools and also for one classroom at the school selected in our random drawing.
The contest begins immediately and will conclude on Tuesday, April 2, 2019
