From the Principal
Dear Parents,
This week I am sending the newsletter a day early due to important information and timelines!
Thank you to all the Colt families I saw at Denmark High School last Friday despite the cold and rain. We are so excited Milton High School will be playing for the State Championship next Wednesday night at Mercedes Benz. The game is scheduled to begin at 8:00 p.m. but this may not be an exact start time if the game before us runs over. We want you to be prepared for a late night indeed! You have opportunities to purchase tickets on Friday and Monday morning from 7:15-7:45 in our front office. You will need to have exact cash ($22.00). If you wait to purchase at the game, you will pay close to $30.00. The City of Milton has planned a community send off when the buses pull off from campus Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. sharp. If you would like to purchase a game day tee shirt or beanie, both are being sold at Milton High School tomorrow, Friday, in the front atrium of their school for $20.00 a piece. We are encouraging our whole school to wear their Milton gear or colors next Wednesday. Save the date! Important note: Student tardies will be excused on 12/13, the day after the game.
During the last week of school prior to the holiday break, we have several things planned for students. Each day we have a holiday theme for school spirit. Students and staff are encouraged to dress up daily according to the theme:
Monday 12/17-Tacky Holiday Sweater
Tuesday 12/18-Holiday Hat or Hair Accessory
Wednesday 12/19-Holiday Pajamas or Onesie
Thursday 12/20-Holiday Socks
Also, on the last day of school we will hold our holiday parties. The times are as follows:
K-8:00
1st-9:00
2nd-10:00
3rd-11:00
4th-1:00
5th-12:30
*We just found out the church will also be having an event on the same day, so parking will be limited. Please plan to walk, carpool, or come early to avoid parking woes.
In case you missed the news this week, Fulton is in the process of hiring “patrol” officers for elementary schools and they hope to have this in place by the next school year. This basically means one officer will be patrolling a few elementary schools. It does not mean we will have an officer housed on our campus daily like middle and high school. This story was featured on Channel 2 last night if you are looking for more information.
I hope you have a great weekend. We have heard news of some inclement weather in the forecast. Please make sure you are following news outlets closely on Sunday or my Twitter for live updates should any changes be made to our school day. Stay warm!
Thank you for the Holiday Cookies!

Art Show a Success!
Thank you for another successful Art Show! We surpassed our sales from last year thanks to you. Profits from this sale provide art supplies for all CCES students.
Missed your chance to purchase a frame at our Art Show? It’s not too late! We will be accepting post-show orders until next Tuesday, December 11th. Send a $25 check (payable to CCES) or $25 exact cash to school in an envelope. Please write your child’s name and homeroom teacher’s name on the envelope. Frames ordered next week will arrive back at school when we return from our break in January.
