Celebrating Diwali and St. Martin's Day

We were thrilled to have so many parents join us for our annual parade around the block with beautifully created lanterns on the 11th of November. As a happy coincidence this year, St. Martin's day and Diwali both landed on the same day. Our students were able to spend the day learning about light festivals with influences from different cultures and religions, while learning about two important celebrations from around the world.

In addition to celebrating by parading, singing, and eating sausages, another important aspect of our annual Lantern Parade is that we raise money from our concession stand in the cafeteria afterwards. This year, we raised just over €130 which will go to support young refugees in Berlin and at BMS. We thank you all for your contributions!
