A Note from Mrs. Williams

Hello Schluter Families!

It is almost August, and that means we are closer to beginning the 22-23 school year! We have been busily preparing to begin the school year, and we have several activities planned to welcome everyone back. The graphic below has all of the important events for the start of school. Check them out!

Also, if you have not already, please ensure you have registered for the 22-23 school year. If your child is returning to us again this year, welcome back! In order for them to be assigned a teacher, they must be registered for this school year. Registration does not roll over from the previous year. We must have an updated proof of residency. We want to make sure everything goes smoothly to start the year, and your help with getting your child(ren) registered will ensure we have the correct staffing to match our number of students. Directions are below.

We will see you soon!

This will be the best year yet!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Williams

Have you registered your child for school yet? Online enrollment is open for the 2022-2023 school year! Enrollment doesn’t roll over year to year and is required annually. Families can complete an easy 1-2-3 process for returning students to quickly register their children for next school year.

For families of currently enrolled students who will return next year, the process will take a matter of a few minutes with a quick, three-step process in Home Access Center. Learn more about the documents you’ll need to enroll, or get the process started at www.nisdtx.org/enroll.

Free & Reduced Lunch Program

While the federal government subsidized a free meal program that Northwest ISD implemented for all elementary and middle school students last year, this program was not funded for 2022-2023. This means families who meet income requirements should apply for the free and reduced-cost meal program if they believe their children should qualify for these meals.

Students in this program receive one breakfast and one lunch combo meal daily for their free or reduced-cost price. Families can apply online or print out a paper copy of the form. Those who previously were accepted into the program will have a 30-day grace period to reapply.
