Happy Friday! Our first full week of school is in the books!

We are looking forward to seeing you all for Open House on Thursday, 9/21 from 6-7:30. There will be student volunteers to help navigate the building. Please click here for a flyer with more details about the event. Just to be clear, this event is meant for parents and guardians only to hear about curriculum, expectations, and events that will take place this year. If you cannot attend, any presentation materials from the night will be posted to our school website.

For students in grades 4-8, your child’s SBAC and NGSS letters were mailed home and should be arriving in the next day or two. Any questions, do not hesitate to reach out.

Please see pickup and drop off procedures below. Just a reminder, if you have not received specific permission or are a walker, cars should be entering the back parking lot and dropping off and picking up in that line. Please follow the process as outlined below.

Please take a moment to review our procedures and protocols for dropping off and picking up your child(ren) at Salem School. For a map of the drop off/pickup route, please click here.

• Students should not be dropped off prior to 8:30 AM, even if they miss the bus. All drop off should take place in the back of the building between 8:30-8:45 AM.

• Parents please do not get out of your vehicle when dropping off in the morning. Staff will assist your child.

• Students should not be unsupervised when dropping off in the back.

• Dismissal takes place from 3:20-3:30 PM.

• A note or a phone call needs to be made prior to 2:30 PM if a child’s transportation changes during the course of the day.

• In the event of an emergency, we can accommodate.

• For safety purposes, there is no pickup or drop off in the front of the building during the times listed above.

• There is no before or after school care here at Salem School. Please be sure there is someone to receive your child at the house in the afternoons.

Be sure to visit the Ski Club table in the MPR on the night of Open House! Meet Mrs. Alison Doyon, who will be running the club for a 2nd year at Salem, learn more about the program, and even sign up! We are looking forward to another great winter on the slopes!
