Monday: International Dot Day!

International Dot Day is on Monday, so wear dots to school!! Polka shirts, pants, shorts, dresses, socks, and/or shoes. The more dots the better! We would love for the students to participate.

We will be celebrating Dot Day by partaking in a variety of Dot related activities. We will kick off the celebration by reading The Dot by Peter H. Reynolds. Other activities will include: sorting and graphing M&M's ("dots") by color, creating a special "What I want to be When I Grow Up" dot for our 1st grade tree, creating a picture out of a dot, and more!

Spelling City

Spelling City is a website where you can find each week's spelling list. The website also has fun activities to help your child practice spelling words. To access this resource follow the following steps:

  1. Go to: First Grade BCE
  2. Scroll down to the section labeled: "Vocabulary and Spelling Lists"
  3. Look for the lists titled "Kindergarten Review" and "Short "a" -at -an".
