We're Going on a Study Trip!

Our class will be traveling to Ritchey Woods for our final study trip on Thursday May 5.

We will be talking about the differences in the woods from Fall to Spring.

Every child will need to bring a completely disposable lunch and drink (no soda). Your child will also need to bring their snack to school this day. Please pack these seperately so that your child does not have their snack with them on the field trip.

**All chaperones must ride the bus and have an updated background check on file with the office.

I sent home a note yesterday stating if you were selected or not for this trip. Thank you to all that signed up to attend, however, I was only able to select 2.

Lemonade Week

4th grade will be selling lemonade for $.50 a cup the week of May 9th. A permission slip will be coming home on Monday. Your child will have the opportunity to purchase a cup of lemonade each day if they bring in their money and signed permission slip. This is totally optional and the money raised will go to charities of the 4th grade's choice. Again be on the look out on Monday for your child's permission slip if you are interested.

Come see our Museum!!

We are making a museum!! Each student has been working hard picking a topic they are interested in and creating a museum exhibit to teach others about that topic. We would like you to come visit our museum too! Mark you calendar for Tuesday, May 10 at 2:15. We will have our exhibits set up in the classroom ready for visitors.

Needed for our Inventor's Box

Any items are appreciated! If it can be recycled, we likely will use it to create something!

  • tape
  • empty water/soda bottles
  • paper towel or toilet paper rolls
  • small boxes
  • buttons
  • pipe cleaners
  • rubber bands

Save your Pop Tabs!

Mrs. Bousman's 3rd grade class is collecting pop tabs for the Ronald McDonald house. Thank you to all who have already sent in tabs. Please continue to send your tabs!

Spelling

Our last Spelling Test was April 22. The remainder of the year we will be reviewing our sight words and looking at our writing. I will be using each child's writing to assess their spelling patterns and use of their sight words.

NWEA

Next week we will be taking our Spring NWEA test in the computer lab. We have learned a lot this year and this is one opportunity for the children to show their growth. Results will be sent home later in May after the district has finished testing. Thank you for supporting your child's education and all of their hard work this year.

IPad rentals for next year

Many of you have asked how you go about getting signed up for the IPad rentals next year. The district will be sending out a letter in the next few weeks asking for this information. Thank you!

Yearbooks

Just a reminder that the front office is now taking late yearbook orders. The price is $20, payable to TCE PTO. Your name will be placed on a waiting list once payment is received. Yearbooks will be distributed in late May.
