Parents Supporting Students and Teachers
The Seen and Unseen. What do you see?
From the Desk of Principal Lane
Hello Eagle Nation Parents and Guardians!!!!
Week 30 is upon us. Seniors students will be taking TSIA 2 to fulfill graduation requirements. The English department will be running their STAAR Blitz. Common Assessments are wrapping up and students are learning and are in reteach, review, and practice mode. There school year is quickly hurrying to a close. Our kids must win!
We have 9 instructional days left before we being STAAR testing. Continue to ensure your student(s) are here everyday to participate and receive instructions. Common assessments, EOY testing and ACP's are on the way. It is important that students are here daily to receive instruction.
The district strongly encourages students to bring their district device to school daily so that it can be updated and ready for this testing season. Please continue to encourage your student to bring their technology daily. As mentioned before, we are officially in testing season. We do not have extra devices to loan students. We need every student to bring their district issued technology and complete their assessments. Our students must practice and develop the skills needed to function in this new online assessment environment. So please, have your student bring their technology.
Continue to talk to your students about the importance of following the Student Code of Conduct. Students found in violation will be issued the proper consequence as outlined in the Student Code of Conduct. We continue to ensure measures are in place to keep our students safe and maximize a positive learning environment.
Lastly, we thank you for your continued support. Thank you to the parents who have volunteered to assist on campus. Also, we want you to know that we have heard your concerns and are working to ensure that our campus is inviting and hospitable. We truly want to partner with you as we move Wilmer-Hutchins High School forward. Your support is critical to our success. Thank you to all the parents who have taken time to volunteer and help out on campus. Your presence and feedback help to make Hutch the Oasis that it is.
