Rocks are made of mixtures of minerals and other materials some rocks are made of one mineral.
Definition of Metamorphic Rocks
Metamorphics rocks are formed under the surface of the earth from the metamorphisis. (change) that occurs due to intense heat and pressure (squeezing).
Example of Metamorphic rocks
Some are: slate, granite, shale, quartzite, sandstone, gneiss, and marble.
The different kinds of Metamorphic rock.
The different types of Metamorphic rock are Granite and Basalt. Granite is a light-colored rock that has a high silica content. Basalt is a dark-colored rock that is low in silica.
