Livonia Jaycees

Stay in the Loop!

It's not what we's what we DO.

The LIV, as we like to call ourselves, is a group of young professionals, 21 to 39 years of age. As a state, national, and international organization, we offer personal and professional development opportunities, social and business networking, and the forum and support to create positive change and impact within our community. In short, we build leaders!

August Recap

August's General Membership Meeting

The LIV's August General Membership Meeting at the Chamber of Commerce was very informational! We welcomed Mr. Brian Meakin, our current Livonia City Council Vice President, former Livonia Jaycee President, and former Michigan Jaycee Vice President. He updated us on the Livonia happenings, as well as some areas of growth he envisions for Livonia.

Of course, we also met up at One Under's patio for our after-social.

Michigan Jaycees' "Meet the Candidates" Event

The Livonia Jaycees joined chapters from across Michigan in Lansing on Saturday, August 29 for the annual "Meeting the Candidates" event. We were able to meet each candidate and hear about their specific vision for 2016. While there are a number of positions open for next year, the Michigan Jaycee President is the largest seat to fill. The candidates for this position include Mr. Adam Bonarek and Mr. Steve Pickelmann. Voting will be conducted at our Fall conference in October.

'Cause You Have to Eat Lunch!

Reminder - The LIV meets for lunch at noon on the last Monday of every month.

The restaurant for this month is Buffalo Wild Wings on Six Mile Road, just west of Newburg Road.
