Principal's Message
Dear SFX Family,
This is a short week for us since we are closed Friday for the St. Joseph Altar. However, we still have many things happening this week!
- Spring Book Fair - Students will "shop" during their Library time and make a wish list. Please be on the lookout for your child's wish list that will be sent home.
- Lenten Giving Project, "Greens for Green!" - We are asking students to bring in a canned vegetable for Deacon Ed's Food Bank and $1 for the St. Vincent de Paul Poor Box on Wednesday, March 17th. Those who participate will be able to wear a green shirt with jeans to school!
- St. Joseph Altar - School is closed this Friday for the Altar viewing. The Altar will be open for public viewing in the School Auditorium from 9 am – 6 pm on Friday and on Saturday from 9 am – 12 noon. 1,500 spaghetti lunches will be served from 11 am – 2 pm on Friday. Temperature checks, masks and social distancing will be required of all who visit the Altar.
- Camp Jaguar - Registration is this Saturday, March 20 at 1:30 PM. More information is below.
There is information below about our Online School Auction that will be in place of Old Metairie Fest April 14-18. Please consider being a sponsor, donor, and/or bidder! If you know of any businesses or people who may sponsor or donate, please let us know.
Lastly, we need your help making arrival and dismissal run as smoothly as possible. Please be respectful of the routes, neighbors' yards and driveways, and passing traffic. Also, remember that arrival stops at 8:00 AM, at which point you will need to bring your child to the office entrance for a Tardy Slip. Jefferson Parish has asked that we do not line up for dismissal prior to 2:50 PM. Please share all of this with anyone who may drop off or pick up for your family. Thank you!
Have a great rest of the week!
May God bless you and keep you,
Jessica

Please consider becoming a sponsor or donor! Click here for the letter and sponsorship/donor form.
More information to come on how to bid!
If you have any questions or can volunteer to help with the online auction, please email the Home & School Association at homeandschool.sfx@gmail.com.
Lenten Giving Project
- Boys may wear jeans or uniform bottoms with a green shirt.
- Girls may wear jeans, uniform bottoms, or shorts that are at least mid-thigh length with a greens shirt.
- Students may wear their choice of shoes as long as they are closed and lace up.
SPRING BOOK FAIR
Books are a TREASURE!
The Spring Book Fair is here & the students are so excited to shop!
- Each class will shop during their library time. The students will choose items and put them aside in a "wish bag." Please check your child's folder for a "wish list" & send in payment for items you wish to purchase.
- If you wish to purchase a book for your child's teacher, you may do so online or have your child pick out a book for them.
Have a great week! Thanks for all you do to support St. Francis Xavier Library!
