Principal's Message
Thank you to Mr. Denard and the entire Student Council for making Spirit Week so much fun and enjoyable. We even had our first outdoor pep rally in the school's history. Sometimes it takes a challenge to explore new opportunities. I think the outdoor pep rally is here to stay.
Reminder that on Wednesday of this week freshman and juniors are taking PSAT9 and NMSQT respectively for the most the day. Students are asked to rest the night before and make their best effort on this assessment to help them know where they stand on these national tests and possibly, depending on their score, become eligible for scholarships.
The PHSO is helping students raise revenue for equipment for our homecoming dance is slated for the end of the month. Please consider helping out the Student Council while they remake this dance into an fun event for all students.
My salute to our bosses on National Bosses Week, Dr. Kenworthy and Dr. Viveiros, for working extra hard during the pandemic to keep students safe, learning and engaged by their policies and actions. Thank you.
Have a fun week,
J. Amaral

I wanted to share some information that I was given through our state agency, RISAS. This was shared by David Neill from the US Attorney's office. I think this is great information just to even have some knowledge on, especially with the increase in national overdoses problem. Interscholastic Sports News
Academic Standards: All students who play school sports must adhere to RIIL and district rules regarding minimum academic standards. Please refer to the athletic handbook and PHS handbook for details. If you have questions, please contact Mr. Trezvant, our athletic director.
Student-Athlete school attendance: each student must attend virtually or in-school each day school is in session or they will not be able to participate in interscholastic event that day. Students scheduled for in-person must attend school for the day or forfeit their participation in after school activities, events or clubs. If students have a special hardship, it needs to be approved in advance by the athletic director.
