News from Mrs. Day & Mrs. Stasney
For the week of November 11th
Veteran's Day
Monday afternoon, the fourth graders will be presenting a Veteran's Day program in honor of veterans and active duty military members. The program begins at 1:45 pm. We encourage you to attend to help us honor those who served or are serving!
3rd Six Weeks
Monday marks the start of the 3rd six weeks! This school year is already 1/3 completed! Time is really flying!!
Grandparents' Day at Creek View
Creek View will be celebrating grandparents on Tuesday, November 26th, in the Gator Grill (cafeteria) with a special meal of turkey, dressing, and all the trimmings! Your child brought home a golden colored paper about this event. In order for the cafeteria to know how much food to prepare, you are asked to please complete and send back the bottom portion of the letter indicating how many guests will be joining the students that day.
Attached to the letter was another golden sheet of paper about checking your child out early that day. After lunch, the classes will be doing "fun" Thanksgiving activities in the rooms. If you want to check your child out early (and maybe get a jump on the holiday traffic!), please complete and return the bottom portion of the second sheet.

A few notes about homework...
(1) The students sometimes get "No Homework" coupons as rewards in the classroom. These coupons can be used for math homework or reading homework. If the students choose to use the coupon for the reading homework, this means that they do not have to answer the questions on the reading homework; however, the students are still expected to read each night and get a parent signature on the weekly reading log! Mrs. Day has covered this with both classes numerous times! If a student uses a "No Homework" coupon on the reading and does not get a parent signature indicating he/she read at home that week, it will count as a "miss" towards Homework Heroes.
(2) There will be no spelling or math homework the week of Thanksgiving.
