Dear FMS Families,

A sincere and heartfelt thank you from all of us at FMS to you for the love and support through all that happened on Friday. We are lucky to be surrounded by such an amazing community.

Tomorrow we will take time to process with our kids to start the day to give them a chance to share and reflect as well as give feedback. Each individual will have different reactions to what happened. Our goal is to help get back to our regular school day, but we realize this may take a little time. Ms. Hogan and I will also do meetings with each of the classes to check in during the morning. Fifth hour is the time that we held the lockdown, so we will also be mindful of that. The district will support us with extra staff as needed. I've included some more family resources as well below if you need ideas for home.

We also will be celebrating our Special Olympians tomorrow as they head to compete at South Callaway. We will hold a parade around 8:15 to send them off in style! GO HORNETS!

Thank you again for the amazing support. You are so appreciated! Together, we will get through these next steps.
