JANUARY 2020
A Message from Principal Williams
Hello Skyhawk Families,
Welcome to 2020! Hard to believe that I am writing that, but here we are. I honestly hope you see this email, glance at it quickly, and put it aside until January 5th as you are getting your student ready to return to school. Please continue to make wonderful Winter Break memories with family and friends! I’ll still be here when you return.
Welcome back! We are excited to have our Skyhawks return to us on January 6th. A winter break is a great time to recharge batteries, but we also look forward to the return of students and their energy in the building to help boost our learning environment. Before break, our volleyball and wrestling programs wrapped up very successful campaigns with volleyball ending as league and district champions and our wrestling program taking third at district with four individual champions. A great season to be sure.
January brings with it new opportunities to get involved. Boys basketball practice and knowledge bowl both start on the first day back. Be sure to see Mrs. Bush in the office to sign up and get cleared for competition. January also brings sign-ups for our variety show and our spring musical, so keep an eye out for those popular options, as well. Remember that getting involved in school is a great way to increase engagement and decrease anxiety in a child’s life. Help your student find their passion and encourage participate in that passion, at school and beyond.
As always, if we can help in any way, don’t hesitate to contact us in the office. We are here to help and support all of our students so let us know how we can do that. We look forward to seeing our students back in the building soon. We missed them over break!
Go Skyhawks!
