Elevated Bits and Bytes

Weekly Update- November 5th

We hope that everyone had a fun and safe Halloween last weekend and that no one was on too much of a sugar rush this week! Halloween on a Sunday does make for a long week so I know we're happy it's Friday.

It seemed like everyone got pictures of the amazing rainbow over Tahoe on Thursday. It was so wonderful to see such a clear rainbow after a small storm. It looks like more weather is on its way this weekend and next week.

And don't forget the time change is this weekend. Enjoy the extra hour of sleep!

Veteran's Day and Professional Development Day

Next Thursday, November 11th is Veterans day so there is no school. Friday is a Professional Development Day for all Lake Tahoe USD staff so there is no school for students that day either. Enjoy the extra long- 4 day weekend!

Picture Day

Picture has been scheduled for Elevated! We will have our picture day at the Al Tahoe Campus in Room P1 (the room next door to the Elevated office) on November 16th. Elevated students can take pictures at the Al Tahoe Campus from 1-3pm on November 16th. We will have signs showing where to go.

We would love to have all our students take pictures even if you aren't planning to buy pictures. The pictures from picture day help us to update our student information system. We love to see current pictures of our students.

Nutrition Newsletters

Every month CalFresh puts out an amazing Newsletter about nutrition. Below is a link to their newsletter.

Math Help Graphic

As a parent, I know helping our kids with math can sometimes be difficult. I found this great graphic showing how we can help our kids with math.
