Remember, the theme for the next issue is: "Mitos y leyendas / Mitos e lendas". The deadline for submission of your students work for the March 2020 issue of Albricias is December 1st, 2019.
De isla a isla: Recycle for Puerto Rico Project
To do this, our chapter will be working on a project to help fund raise for the Centro Paso Community Center in Aibonito, PR. In this project we will collect recyclables and redeem them at local redemption centers from December 1st, 2019-March 1st, 2020. The funds raised will be donated to the Centro Paso Community Center in Aibonito, Puerto Rico which provides after-school programs and other services for the community in Aibonito, PR. If you are interested in having your class participate, you can sign up via the link below and we will send you more information. This project is open to all teachers K-12 and higher-ed who are AATSP members and would like to have their class(es) participate.

JCHS 2019 Multicultural Festival Sharing Our Cultural Identities Through Languages and Culture
The 2019 JCHS multicultural Festival is right around the corner!
This is a free admission event for everyone. Our program will start at 11:30am until 5:00pm (closing with a life salsa orquesta and dance).
There will be music, performances, vendors, local and international food.
Please forward this email to everybody to support the Multicultural festival leaders and the Lemon Tree Multicultural project. Our AATSP Chapter Hawai'i will also participate in this event with an informational booth for new teachers of Spanish and Portuguese and everyone interested in learning more about our chapter.
