May is Mental Health Awareness Month
To recognize mental health awareness month, Eagan High School is partnering with NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness). On May 16th NAMI will host a booth in the cafeteria where students can write words of encouragement to youth with a mental illness on cards with shoes on them. The idea behind the shoes is "walk a mile in my shoes" of someone living with a mental illness. The shoes will then be taped up on a banner so that students with mental illnesses know that they are supported and not alone.
NAMI provides many resources and education for young adults, families and friends living with mental illness. https://namimn.org/
Senior Retreat
On May 19th (Thursday) we will be taking the first 200 seniors who sign up to the Rosemount Community Center for the Senior “Wisdom” Retreat. The Wisdom Retreat is presented by Youth Frontiers and is designed for seniors to reflect, laugh, and share experiences that enable them to say goodbye to each other. This day inspires students to bring positive closure to their last days together as a class and to show appreciation to those who have supported them throughout these years.
If students are interested in attending, please sign up using MyPayments Plus. Cost is $25. Scholarships are available - message your counselor to request one!
Students will not want to miss out on this fun day!

The district is very interested in hiring its former graduates, and this list is a means by which the district can keep in contact. This contact list may be used by the district to disseminate information such as summer employment opportunities, district hiring resources, hiring deadlines, and other employment information. Providing the information requested in this form is completely voluntary and is for school district use only for the purposes described above.
Seniors should complete this GOOGLE FORM if interested in the TEACH196 program.
