Principal's Piece
Tena Koutou Katoa Weber Whanau,
I hope everyone is warm and dry after a very wet week, the children have used the wet playtimes over the past few days to play new board games, make jigsaw puzzles, do arts and crafts and mingle across classes.
This week in classes we have been learning about Matariki, the stars of Matariki and associated stories. This will culminate in a whole school celebration on Thursday, with the students working in their houses and completing a rotation of activities throughout the day.
There has been a change in our technology day for next week only, we will be going on Thursday 30 June instead of Monday 27th June.
I would like to take this opportunity to officially announce that LaVonne Cottle will be leaving her role as Office Manager and Board Secretary of Weber School next term. She has accepted a new position as a full time Personal Assistant to the Mayor of Tararua. LaVonne has been at Weber School for over seven years and has been a huge part of all things Weber, including my induction as a new Principal. I would like to thank her for everything she has done for the staff, students and wider community during this time. I know she will be sorely missed by everyone, we wish her well in her future endeavours.
Enjoy your long weekend and we look forward to seeing the students on Monday
