Announcements:
Important Dates:
- 24 - Activity Night from 6-8 p.m.
- 29 - Informational meeting for the Washington, D.C. trip in the FMS gym. Students who are already signed up do not need to come to the meeting.
Social Studies
Students will be logging into their online social studies textbook, signing into google classroom and taking a pretest over the Bill of Rights and Constitution.

Learning Target for the Week:
Students can explain how the Bill of Rights work and how it is still used today.
Students can describe the people and events associated with the development of the U.S. Constitution and analyze the Constitution’s significance as the foundation of the American republic.

This past week we have practiced identifying conflict and working towards meeting this aspect of the standard. This upcoming week we will begin working with setting, with our next story "The Land Lady".

SCIENCE
Students will be learning about the engineering design process using paper airplanes.
This Week's Objective:
Define the criteria and constraints of a design problem with sufficient precision to ensure successful solution, taking into account relevant scientific principles and potential impacts on people and the natural environment that may limit possible solutions.
Daily Activities:
Monday: Pre-test over engineering design and set-up science notebooks
Tuesday: Building the best paper airplane possible and testing the design
Wednesday: Determine criteria and constraints for paper airplane design
Thursday and Friday: Building and testing two different paper airplanes with different criteria and constraints
Math
This week students will be pretesting and starting Chapter 2: Equations in One Variable.

Solve linear equations and inequalities in one variable.
