Safety and Security

Safety is a top priority for the Lincoln County R-III School District. ECEC has scheduled fire, intruder, missing child, earthquake tornado drills each quarter. We partner with

the police and fire departments to make sure our procedures run efficiently.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call the ECEC office.

Thank you to the PTO for providing our AMAZING teachers with dinner during their late night of Parent/Teacher Conferences last month! Teachers were able to enjoy pizza and pasta thanks to parent donations to our organization and through the help of our officers.

Also, please start practicing your talents for our upcoming Mommy & Me Talent Show, which will be held on Friday, December 4th. Moms can be in the performance alongside their child or simply be there along the way to help their child prepare for the show. Please be looking for upcoming information, as you will not want to miss this very cute event!

As always, we would love to see you at our next meeting, on Thursday, November 7th, as we meet the first Thursday of every month at 5pm at ECEC. If you cannot make the meetings, but still have ideas/concerns, please feel free to contact our PTO President Teil Mitchell at, so that we can add them to our next meeting’s agenda. We’d love to hear from you! Thank you to all the parents, teachers and staff who continue to make the PTO such a fun and successful organization of which to be a part!

The Nightly Reading Record Sheet is an amazing way to make sure reading is a priority in your house. When your child returns any monthly reading calendar completely filled in, at any time, they will receive a fun book. If they complete 6 calendars in the school year, they will get to pick a book from our “library,” Ms. Kelly will read it to them, and then they get to take it home. The Record sheet can be found and printed here

Children are made readers on the laps of their parents.”

From the Nurse...

All children in the state of Missouri who attend a public, private, or parochial day care center or preschool must be up to date on all required immunizations or have a current exemption on file. As of December 1,2015, a parent or guardian may request notice of whether there are children currently enrolled in or attending the facility for whom an immunization exemption has been filed.

Christmas Adopt a Family

A Christmas tree will be in our lobby by mid-November. Feel free to stop by to see what is needed for the families and elderly we are adopting this holiday season.
Toys for Tots
We are also collecting new unwrapped toys for all ages. If you would like to participate, the donation box is located in our front lobby.

With the weather changing, please make sure your child is wearing appropriate clothing. We WILL be going outside every day unless the temperature falls to 20 degrees or it is raining/snowing. Gloves, hats, and coats are a MUST! Also please check your child's backpack and make sure they have the appropriate change of clothes for the weather conditions.

PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports)

Each month a PBIS sheet will come home with your child to help your family support the positive behavior that your child is learning and practicing at school. Hopefully PBIS will encourage your child have positive behavior at home as well. Please read over each item on the monthly PBIS sheet and when your child has completed those tasks he or she can return it to school to add a cutout to our PBIS wall. A copy of the form can be found at this link.
