Welcome Back Wildcats!

We were so glad to see everyone this morning! Hopefully everyone had a great week off to rest and play. We are back to a normal schedule with tutoring and clubs this week.

FRIDAY, MARCH 18th----we need EVERY student to wear a blue shirt, any type, t-shirts are fine. If your student has a BLUE HEIGHTS shirt, that would be even better! We are taking a school wide aerial photo for RHE's 60th birthday celebration in May. It is supposed to rain, so we may have to reschedule, but, we are going to cross our fingers and hope it's a beautiful sunny day. So, THIS FRIDAY....ALL STUDENTS....WEAR A BLUE SHIRT!!!!

March 15 - 17th we will be conducting SIM testing in 3rd - 6th grades. There will be no outside visitors allowed, please see the letter below for more information.

Keep enrolling your students either on Focus (information below) or on the paper forms. You do not need to do both.

State Testing

Dear parents of 3rd-6th graders,

Our school, along with every school in RISD will take one STAAR simulation test throughout this semester in the subject areas tested on the state assessments. These tests are designed by our respective curriculum departments to assess our students and give us data as to how we can best support them and be successful on the state assessments in March and May.

During the simulation days, we will teach the students the procedures of the actual testing day so the day flows smoothly.

No visitors will be allowed in the building during the days listed below. This is to ensure the best testing environment for the students. Please do not schedule any appointments for your children on the following days.

STAAR Simulation testing days

March 15—3rd, 4th, 6th math

March 16—3, 4, 6 reading
