Here's what's happening @ Saddle Ridge this week:

  • Hey Parents! The Walker County School System is going through accreditation this year and the virtual visit will take place in late October. We see this as an opportunity to show how wonderful our school is and also where we can improve. Thank you for helping make our Saddle Ridge Community so wonderful! We truly do have the best families around!
  • The Follett Book Fair is happening this week. Scan the QR codes below to learn more about the book fair and how you can purchase books for your family.
  • Return Lunch Forms as soon as possible. We need these returned regardless of your financial need. We need only one form per family but please make sure that you list all students in the school system that live in your home so that an accurate decision can be made in determining if your family would qualify for free or reduced rates. Please check off on the box at the top of the form if you do not wish to apply. We must have forms for all students or at least all families represented in our counts. EVEN THOUGH EVERYONE EATS FREE THIS YEAR, WE STILL NEED THE FORMS COMPLETED AND RETURN THIS WEEK. Thank you!😀😀😀😀😀

Thank you!

Thank you parents for your support during these trying times as we navigate Covid-19. We have seen a drop in close contact quarantines for our students. We know that the hybrid schedule is not easy on you as families and we are anxious to get back to five days a week as well. Please know that our teachers are working hard to help ensure that your child is learning. We are putting forth our best effort and we are reaching out to you to help continue the learning when your child is not at school. Thank you for being our teammate and for helping to push your child academically at home as much as we are doing at school. We know that everyone doesn't have the same experiences at home due to lack of resources or people that can help, but just by reviewing math skills, reading with your child, talking to them about world events as appropriate, letting them tell you about their day and opening up the lines of communication will help your child stay on track. We will do our absolute best to work with your child each and every day that they are in our building. Please know that we are only a phone call away, an email away or a remind/Dojo message away to help you. We are truly blessed to have such amazing families in our school. Thank you for your positive comments and positive attitudes as we work to educate your children during this global pandemic.

Meet our Georgia Hope School-Based Therapist, Susan Yates

We are fortunate to house a Georgia Hope School- Based program at Saddle Ridge. Ms. Susan Yates started with us last week as our school-based therapist. Georgia Hope works with our students that have been referred by their families and our school guidance counselors in the area of mental health. We are excited to offer this service to our Saddle Ridge Families. Feel free to contact Mitzi Davenport, Saddle Ridge School Counselor, if you would like to see how Georgia Hope can help your child.
