Annual Membership Meeting (Reunión Anual de Membresía)
Richard began his legal career in 1964 as a Deputy District Attorney in Las Vegas. Two years later he was named Clark County’s first Public Defender. In 1968, he was elected to the Nevada State Assembly. He was re-elected in 1970. In 1972, he was elected to the Nevada State Senate and was re-elected in 1976. He won his first statewide election as Nevada’s Attorney General where he played a major role in successfully defending Nevada’s gaming regulatory structure in the Federal Courts. In 1982, he was elected to the first of two terms as Governor of Nevada. In 1988 he was elected to the first of two terms in the U.S. Senate.

English Department (Departamento de Ingles)
Ganacias's Senior Honors students will finish out the year working on a series of projects. Students will put together a portfolio of original poems with a common theme and write a piece of researched historical fiction.
McCoy’s end of year project for Seniors includes researching different corporations and the perks they offer in a field they may consider in the future using the following website:

Terrell and Kundanani’s Senior classes will finish out the year analyzing the fine art of satirical literature presented through various multimedia. Students will also analyze multicultural argumentative essays with an emphasis on the Native American perspective.
Boka’s Senior classes will also finish with a focus on satirical and argumentative literature analysis. Students will be researching a contemporary social problem and creating a Google Slides presentation using satirical techniques to present their own “Modest Proposal” about this problem.
Angel M. Orengil's Inspire 12th grade students are working on a cross-curricular project for Government and English: Students will create an audio visual presentation that addresses what they have learned over the last 13 years, how their learning has shaped who they are today, and finally consider how they can make the world a better place based upon their acquired learning and personal reflection.
